Independent Medical Evaluation (IME)

Dr. Herron has extensive experience performing independent evaluations for medical schools, hospitals, and the Committee for Physician Health. The purpose of the Independent Medical Exam (IME) is to perform an assessment and make recommendations regarding care and future medical practice.   

The process involves meeting with the physician/medical student and then, depending on the circumstances, speaking with collateral contacts such as employers, school/residency administration, treating providers, or other collateral contacts as indicated (with consent). As applicable, this will also include review of documentation or previous evaluations.  A detailed clinical report will be provided at the conclusion of the evaluation process.

This is an out-of-network practice that does not bill insurance directly. If requested, we can provide a bill that you may be able to submit to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement.
