Abigail Herron, DO

Abigail Herron, DO, is a physician who is board certified in psychiatry, addiction psychiatry, and addiction medicine.  She is based in the New York City area and practices via telehealth across New York State.  She is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Family Medicine & Community Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai.  She is a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.  She received her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine.  Dr. Herron completed her psychiatry residency at St. Luke's and Roosevelt Hospitals, where she was also chief resident.  She also completed a clinical research fellowship in addiction psychiatry at Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.  She is the co-editor of the Addiction Casebook, and the editor-in-chief of ASAM’s Essentials of Addiction Medicine.
